If you wish to apply for equal status with Danish citizens on the basis of having moved to Denmark, Greenland or the Faroe Islands with your parents, you must have moved to one of the countries before your 20th birthday. It is a condition that your family continues to reside in Denmark, Greenland or the Faroe Islands and that both you and your parents have permanent residence here.
This is what we do
When we investigate whether you and your parents have permanent residence in Denmark, we use the information about you and your parents contained in the national register. If you think that the information in the national register is inadequate or incorrect, you must approach the national register in the municipality you live in.
